The Pope arrives at the main entrance of the covered stadium of Caritas Technical High School, where he is welcomed by the Cardinal Archbishop of Port Moresby, the Superior of the Community of the Sisters of Jesus of Caritas and the Principal of the school. Two children dressed in traditional costumes present him with flowers.
The Pope crosses the nave while the choir sings a song and, after a tour among the children and students of the school (about 900), he takes his place on the stage.
At the end of the meeting he goes to the Shrine of Mary Help of Christians where he is received by the Cardinal Archbishop of Port Moresby, the President of the Episcopal Conference, the Rector of the Shrine and two children dressed in traditional costumes who offer him flowers.
