The Pontifical Urbaniana University was the focus of a meeting between Pope Francis and the Dicastery for Evanelization on the occasion of their Extraordinary Plenary Assembly.

He touched on how the identity and mission of the University are tied to the task of the Dicastery and that the two should always be renewed.

POPE FRANCIS
The formation, teaching, research and vitality of the University are part of the mandate we have received to proclaim the Good News to all peoples, and their implementation can never be considered final. They are always in motion.

But the Pope also took a practical approach, saying the Urbaniana's founding values should leave a legacy that help its students and others respond to the difficult questions facing the world today.
