Pope Francis landed in Verona to participate in a meeting for peace and visit the faithful of this northern Italian city.
His first stop was the Basilica of St. Zeno, where he was welcomed with applause by religious and consecrated people. Once inside, the Pope stopped to pray before the relics of the patron saint of Verona.
