At the end of his meeting with youth involved in Scholas Occurrentes, Pope Francis left the venue in a wheelchair to bless the olive tree of peace, while the artist Cuca Roseta sang traditional Portuguese music called “fado.”

Maria Isabel Rebelo is known professionally as Cuca Roseta and is a Fado singer.

Fado is a popular song from Portugal that usually expresses feelings of melancholy, nostalgia or the stories of popular people. It is usually accompanied by a guitar. This folk song originated in Lisbon in the 19th century.
