During the Angelus, Pope Francis expressed his concern for the ongoing instability in Niger and throughout the Sahel region of Africa.

I join the Bishops' appeal in favor of peace in the country and stability in the Sahel Region. I prayerfully join the efforts of the international community to find, as soon as possible, a peaceful solution for the good of all. Let us pray for the dear people of Niger.
