Pope Francis arrives in Tbilisi to begin his Apostolic Journey to Georgia and Azerbaijan from September 30-October 2. The trip is seen as a second phase to his trip to the Caucasus region that started with Armenia a few months ago on June 24-26.
He is scheduled to attend a brief welcome ceremony in the airport on Friday afternoon at 3 p.m., local Georgia time.
