The same day the Church celebrates the 50th World Day for Social Communications, the Pope recalled the responsibility and the importance of the media in the world today.
POPE FRANCIS
'They can build bridges between individuals and within families, social groups and peoples. This is possible both in the material world and the digital world.â?
Pope Francis posted this message in his own handwriting on Instagram and Twitter a few minutes before: 'To you, who from the great digital community, ask for my prayers and blessing, I wish to say that you will be the precious gift in my prayer to the Father. And you, don't forget to pray for me so that I may be a servant of the Gospel of Mercy.â?
Since Mother's Day was also celebrated in Italy, the Pope gave them a very special greeting from the window of the papal apartments.
POPE FRANCIS
'Today many countries celebrate Motherâ??s Day. Let us remember with gratitude and affection every mother, those who are now in the square, our mothers, those who are still with us, and those who have gone to heaven. Let us entrust them to Mary, the mother of Jesus. Let us pray the Hail Mary!â?
The celebration of Mother's Day was very much in tune with the reflection the Pope made minutes before praying the Regina Coeli. He asked Christians to live their faith in everyday life.
