Relics from St. Therese of Lisieux and her parents will be exhibited at the basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome, starting on October 4th.
They will remain there for the duration of the Synod on the Family. That means pilgrims from throughout the world can pray before them until October 25th. The same exhibit took place during last year's Synod.
Further, on October 18th, the parents of St. Therese of Lisieux will be canonized. Pope Francis will preside over the ceremony in which Louis Martin y Zelie Guerin become saints.
They are the first married couple who are not martyrs to be canonized together. The ceremony will take place during the Synod as an example for all married couples throughout the world.
