The Council of Cardinals, which includes the Pope's closest advisers, is addressing the simplification of the Roman Curia.

They've met for the last two days with the Pope. Later on this week, they will meet with Cardinals from all over the world and present a document with specific proposals.

They prepared the address on Monday morning with a list of issues. As president of the Pontifical Council for Culture, the council met with Cardinal Ravasi to talk about the department.

'They met with Cardinal Ravasi on Monday afternoon to speak to him about the Pontifical Council for Culture. They talked about different proposals that would re-locate that Council  within a different Curia structure.â?

During Tuesday's meeting, Cardinals spoke with the Secretary of the Pontifical Council for Social Communications, Paul Tighe. The focus was ways to reform the Vatican's Communication Department.

'The first results and proposals were addressed. It's still a work in progress. Paul Tighe talked about this with the Council of Cardinals.

Father Federico Lombardi also highlighted that at this point, the proposals are simply proposals and nothing is yet set in stone.
