;This week will be relatively calm for Pope Francis. He only has five public events scheduled the entire week. ;
The first one will take place just a few hours before 2014 officialy ends. On December 31st at 5pm, Rome time, he will preside over the 'Te Deum' prayer in St. Peter's Basilica. It's part of a Catholic tradition, where the Pope will give thanks to God, for the previous year. ;
Afterwards, he will head out to the Nativity Scene that stands outside of St. Peter's Square. There, he will listen to some carols. The very next day, on January 1st, he will celebrate a Mass at 10.00 a.m to mark New Year's and the International Day of Peace. ;
He is also planning on praying the Angelus twice this week from his studio window, overlooking St. Peter's Square. Once on New Years Day and then again, on Sunday January 4th. ;
