In his homily at Casa Santa Marta, Pope Francis explained the need to dedicate time daily to prayer.
POPE FRANCIS
“It would be good for us to dedicate a bit of time to prayer, with the memory of our path, the memory of graces received, the memory of election, of the promise, of the covenant and to rise up, toward adoration.”
To conclude, the pope urged pastors to show their parishes this prayer of adoration because it's the one they will do in Heaven.

“We know how to teach them how to pray, sing, and praise God, but to adore? The prayer of adoration, that which annihilates us without annihilating us – the annihilation of adoration gives us nobility and greatness. I take advantage, today, with so many recently ordained pastors, to say – show the people to adore in silence, adore.”
“We can only arrive there with the memory of having been chosen, of bearing within our heart the promise which pushes us to keep going with the covenant in our hand and in our heart. Always on the path: a difficult journey, an uphill journey, but a path towards adoration.”
“It would be good for us to dedicate a bit of time to prayer, with the memory of our path, the memory of graces received, the memory of election, of the promise, of the covenant and to go up, towards adoration. In the middle of adoration, to so humbly say only this small prayer – 'Listen and forgive.'”
