“Indivisible” is a film based on a true story of an Army Chaplain Darren Turner and his wife Heather whose marriage is shaken after the Chaplains traumatic experience during the Iraq war.
The film examines the harsh realities of war and the impact it has on soldiers as well as their families.
“I want to know why you have it in you to show up for those men when you refuse to do it for your own wife and kids?”
“Because those men need me!'”
“I need you!”
However, despite these struggles the film also shows how Darren and Heather managed to save their marriage through their faith in God.
The filmmakers wanted to produce this film, especially for military families facing similar problems, in order to show that there is hope at the end of the tunnel.

“I believe people are really going to be able to identify with these characters and hopefully, by their example of seeing how they use the arm of God in their own lives that can be an example to others to say, 'you know what no matter what war I am dealing with inside God will help you overcome those situations.”
According to Tia Mowry, who plays Tonya Lewis in the film, this film offers a unique and refreshing approach to military films.

“You see a lot of stories that deal with post traumatic stress disorder and it focuses on the soldiers, right. But it doesn't really focus on the impact that it has on the family...” “You are able to see it from a woman's perspective...” “Family and children and how they deal with it?”
Darren Turner himself wants people to see the importance of seeking counseling and reconciliation. He also wants people to not be ashamed, especially men, of admitting when they have a problem; something he struggled with at first.

“It is with great honor that I serve my country but I only stand before you today because Jesus is my rock and because I have a family who loves and believes in me.”
