Pope Francis will deliver the traditional Christmas Day Urbi et Orbi blessing from the balcony of St. Peter's Basilica.
The blessing, which means “to the city and to the world” is given by the Pope each Christmas and Easter Day. The tradition dates back to the Roman Empire, and over the years has been extended to the entire Catholic population around the world.
