Pope Francis dedicated his monthly intentions to survivors of sexual abuse, especially abuse ''committed by members of the Church.'
In the video, he calls for concrete actions to be taken to accompany abuse survivors because they must 'be at the center' of everything. The Pope expressed his desire for them to 'find within the Church herself a concrete response to their pain and suffering.'
In addition, Pope Francis points out that in order to respond to abuse, it is important to 'bring it to light in society and in families.' He says that the ''tragedy of abuse'' cannot be hidden no matter where it takes place, whether in the Church, 'in families, in clubs, or in other types of institutions.'
