Pope Francis welcomed members of the Chair of Welcoming in the Apostolic Palace. It is an educational initiative for all Catholic institutions involved in social issues promoted by the Fraterna Domus Association. In the meeting, the Pope stressed his concern for the marginalized.
POPE FRANCIS
The three people who deserve special attention are the widow, the orphan and the migrant.
The Pope explained the contents of the encyclical, Fratelli Tutti, and encouraged the group to help create a more open world. One not only made up of countries but the world as a human family where the migrant is not seen 'as a usurper who has nothing to offer.'
Pope Francis also insisted that 'only a social and political culture that understands free reception can have a future.'
