During his speech at the third edition of the Italian States General of Birth Rate, Pope Francis regretted that there are those who, he believes, put their dogs above the needs of people.

POPE FRANCIS' WORDS:
I would like to show you two photographs that were taken here in St. Peter's Square. Two weeks ago, my secretary was crossing the Square and a mother came with a baby stroller. He is a caring priest and he went up to bless the baby. But it was a little dog.

Fifteen days ago, during the Wednesday Audience, I was going to say hello and I passed by and came to a 50-year-old lady, more or less, like me, but more or less. I greeted the lady and she open a bag and said: but will you bless my baby? It was a little dog there. I had no patience and scolded the lady: Madam, so many children are hungry and you with your little dog. Brothers and sisters, these are scenes of today's world. But if things continue this way, it will become the habit of the future. Let us be careful.
