A few minutes after the funeral ended, a funeral procession departed with Pope Francis' mortal remains.
It left from the side entrance of the Vatican, from the Perugino door, the door closest to what used to be Pope Francis' residence.
The funeral procession then passed by some of Rome's most iconic locations, leaving the image of his procession in everyone's mind.
At the entrance of St. Mary Major, a group of people were waiting: people without resources, or as the Pope would say, victims of the throwaway culture.
The Pope's casket entered the Basilica to applause.
