The Pope has once again sent the papal almoner, Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, to Ukraine to deliver not one but four ambulances. These are equipped with all the medical equipment necessary to assist people during the war.

This is not the first time Pope Francis has made a gesture like this. In 2022, the pontifical almoner had already gone to Ukraine with this ambulance personally blessed by the pope. This is already the tenth humanitarian mission that the Polish cardinal has taken to Ukraine on behalf of the pontiff.

Despite the health problems afflicting Francis, he has made sure to mention Ukraine in his recent speeches; texts that have not been pronounced but have been distributed.

In addition, over the last month there have been further contacts between the Holy See and the Russian Foreign Minister as well as between the Vatican and President Zelensky to discuss prisoner exchanges and the return of Ukrainian children deported to Russia.
