The meeting of the King and Queen of England with the Pope was set for April 8. However, the British royal house announced that, in mutual agreement with the Holy See, it has been decided to postpone the visit so that the pope can rest.
Doctors said the pontiff would need at least two months of rest and that he should limit his meetings to avoid possible contagions now that his condition is weak.

In his only public appearance so far, he appeared in good spirits but fragile. In fact he was out for just over a minute and uttered two sentences.
The King and Queen of England were scheduled to visit the Holy See on the occasion of the Jubilee and also the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, where the ecumenical celebration for the unity of the Church concludes each year.
