Saint Joseph, protector of families and workers, is a figure full of humility and strength. His presence has always gone hand in hand with protection, dedication, and sacrifice.

The truth is that Saint Joseph has always been a figure who is, well, hidden, like he isn't talked about much. So, I'm really drawn to the fact that I can represent him and that people can bond a little more with him, because, ultimately, he's part of the Holy Family, which is important. And, I don't know, well, with these drawings, he’s calling me to help people get a little closer to him and not let him be forgotten.
Sara seeks to give a new face to Saint Joseph, moving away from classic representations. For her, this Saint isn't a distant figure, but someone full of humanity and sweetness, as she herself imagines him…

I imagine him as a young Saint Joseph, quite young. Maybe I imagine him, for example, as my boyfriend's age. I use my age as a reference, and I don't know, because I often see him drawn as super old, super old. And I don't think he was ever that old. I mean, I don't know, I imagine him as young, with a sweet face, who conveys sweetness and also protection to his family, you know? Like, very affectionate and very humble.
For her, the power of art goes beyond simple expression. Through her drawings, she has managed to touch the lives of some of her followers, who sometimes come to her to thank her for her work, which, in the midst of a difficult time, they have embraced as support. Sara confesses that she never ceases to be surprised by the impact of her work.

I've had comments from people who have told me about their lives, about very difficult things, and that one of my drawings has enlightened them or helped heal some wound or something very difficult. Well, what I'm saying is that this drawing isn't… it's God! Because, I don't know anything else, but healing such profound things seems incredible to me. So I believe that through my drawings, God acts, because I'm doing it, that is, with the gift God has given me, I am, ultimately, putting it at the service of others. And that makes God great.
For both adults and children, her illustrations and paintings seek to bring people closer to key moments of faith, offering a new perspective on figures like Saint Joseph.
