The Vatican has again issued a medical report on Pope Francis' health. They point out that the latest tests indicate that the pope's clinical picture is “complex” and that, for this reason, he will be in the hospital for more days, although it has not been confirmed how long he could be hospitalized.
The Holy See has also communicated that the pontiff's treatment has had to be modified, since medical examinations have concluded that the pope has a polymicrobial infection in his respiratory tract.
For the time being, Pope Francis remains at the Gemelli. He is in good spirits, still reading the newspapers and praying, but with absolute rest. However, the general audience he usually holds with pilgrims every week has already been canceled for this Wednesday.
