This is the telegram that Pope Francis sent to President Donald Trump on the occasion of the collision between the passenger plane and a military helicopter in Washington.
In it, the Pope assures his
“… spiritual closeness to all those affected by this tragedy”
Pope Francis also said he was praying for those involved in the rescue efforts.
The accident occurred shortly before 9pm local U.S. time and around 3am Rome time.
