During the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, several ecumenical delegations meet with the Pope in the Vatican.
On this occasion, Pope Francis received this group from Finland. Among them was the Catholic bishop of Helsinki, the head of the Orthodox Church in the region, and the leader of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. This visit was also organized on the occasion of the feast of the country's patron saint, St. Henry.
POPE FRANCIS
At the same time, the Patron Saint of Finland is a symbol of God-given unity, as his feast day continues to bring together Christians from different Churches and ecclesial Communities in offering praise to God.
Despite his cold and mobility problems, the Pope continues to hold dozens of official meetings a week. He also recently met with a group of students from the oldest seminary in Rome, the Capránica College.
