Almost a million people have visited Notre Dame Cathedral since it reopened in early December. In total, some 860,000 people, which translates to an average of 29,000 per day.
This figure already exceeds that recorded in 2019, when the fire that destroyed this great symbol of Paris occurred. The increase, therefore, is notable, as there are about 5,000 more people passing through every day compared to five years ago.
The first pilgrims to pass through Notre Dame were none other than the highest-ranking politicians in the world: Emmanuel Macron, Donald Trump, Giorgia Meloni and Zelensky.
The restoration work involved around 2,000 workers and the investment was around 700 million euros.
