In just 15 days, half a million pilgrims have already crossed the Holy Door of St. Peter's Basilica. The number will continue to increase throughout the Holy Year. The dicastery expects many millions more.

These projections tell us that there will be 32 million pilgrims from all over the world throughout the year 2025. But, certainly, they will come from the United States - for example, about 2.5 million; from Brazil, about 600,000; from Argentina, 300, 400,000.
The five doors are now open, although the Pope has only been to two: St. Peter's and Rebibbia Prison, a door that Pope Francis wanted to be opened in an extraordinary way for this Jubilee.
POPE FRANCIS
The first Holy Door I opened at Christmas in St. Peter’s. I wanted the second one to be here, in a prison. Today the prison has become a basilica.
The last of the five doors was the one in the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls on January 5, which also provided a curious moment. This sound recalled the origin of the Catholic Jubilee: a horn called Jobel that the Jews used to call the people to prayer.
So far, there has been no large Jubilee event. The first of these will be on January 24, when the Jubilee of Communication will be celebrated over the weekend. Thousands of journalists and experts from all over the world will come to Rome.
