During the Angelus, the Pope wanted to show his solidarity with the families of the victims of the plane crash in South Korea.
The Argentine pontiff closely follows the events in this country; a country he visited in 2014, where the next World Youth Day will be organized.

My thoughts are with the many families in South Korea who today are in mourning due to the tragic plane crash. I join them in prayer for the survivors and for the deceased.
On that day, the first Sunday after Christmas, the Church celebrated the feast of the Holy Family.

The Pope reflected on the teachings that every Christian can draw from the Holy Family of Nazareth and recommended meditating on how Mary, Joseph, and Jesus resolved their problems.
