Italian authorities have increased their vigilance in anticipation of the imminent arrival of millions of pilgrims and tourists for the Jubilee.
Some security forces such as the Guardia di Finanza are working to prevent fraud, for example, with regard to the sale of counterfeit products or products that have bypassed quality controls.

In view of the Jubilee, it is certainly necessary to constantly monitor various shopping centres, various neuralgical points within the city, where there may be more pilgrims during the day.
Graziano Rubino recommends that in order to avoid problems and scams, one should always go to an official point of sale, especially if one is going to buy online. The Guardia di Finanza seized 6 million counterfeit pieces a few weeks ago.
They are also trying to keep a close eye on possible scams in bed and breakfasts or tourist accommodation; that is, private individuals who make apartments available that do not actually exist. To avoid unpleasant surprises, they make the same recommendation: go to official websites and do not speak to private individuals. If you have been a victim of fraud, they advise calling 117.
