St. Olaf, known as the Viking king who converted to Christianity, has his altar in this church in San Carlo al Corso. Hundreds of Scandinavians went there to celebrate his feast day.

Above the altar is a picture of the holy king defeating the dragon that represents his pagan life. This mass has been celebrated every year since 2007.

St. Olaf was instrumental in the Christianization of Norway.

During this day in Rome, the contribution of Christianity to Scandinavian law and its impact on European values were discussed.

The streets of Rome were filled with Scandinavians because in the eternal city, there are special corners for Catholic communities from all over the world. It is a way of practicing Christianity close to the successor of the Apostle Peter.
