Pope Francis was welcomed in the cathedral “Notre Dame” of Luxembourg amidst a standing ovation. The Grand Dukes of Luxembourg, a group of sick people and the country's Catholic community were among those present.
One side of the altar of the cathedral holds the patroness of Luxembourg, the Comforter of the Afflicted, to whom Pope Francis gave a golden rose.
