While Pope Francis' first full day in Papua New Guinea consisted of some formal meetings with authorities and bishops, he also made sure to make time for kids.
He visited a group of children in the packed gymnasium of Caritas Technical Secondary School, where he was welcomed with traditional dance and song.
The kids had the chance to pose some questions to the Pope and they did not take the opportunity lightly.
One child asked Pope Francis, “Why do we not have opportunities like other kids?”

I really only have one answer to this question, and that is, none of us is like anyone else, because we are all unique in God's eyes. It is not only that there is hope for everyone as has been said, but I would add, that each one of us has a role and a mission in the world that no one else can fulfill.
And in the second question, the kids asked the Pope for life advice, saying “How can we make the world a happier place?”

By learning day by day to love God and others with all our hearts. We can also do it by trying to learn even at school, all that we can, and to do so in the best way possible through studying and putting our best effort into every opportunity we are given to grow, improve and refine our gifts and skills.
At the end of their conversation, the Pope spent time blessing and greeting the kids. And they sent him off with yet another song.
