Pope Francis welcomed priests from the Congregation of the Oblates of St. Joseph for the celebration of their General Chapter.

During his speech, Francis emphasized the importance of community life within the priesthood.

POPE FRANCIS
Make your hearts, your communities, your religious houses, places where the warmth of familiarity with God and among brothers and sisters can be felt and shared. As St. John Paul II said, “salvation, which passes through the humanity of Jesus, is realized in the gestures that are part of the everyday of family life.”

Francis also thanked them for their work. This congregation is dedicated to the education of youth and present in places in need of evangelization like India, Nigeria and Mozambique.
