A new app called WayUpp shows people the nearest parishes and activities in their area. The mastermind behind it: a 26-year-old named Quique.

It's an app that brings all the realities of the Church together. That is, we did not want to create anything new-as in a new movement-because the Church already has so many enriching options in our environment around the world…For example, Regnum Christi, Opus Dei, Hakuna…So many living parishes…full of young people, who we asked: what if we created an app that brought all the realities of the Church together, like Air bnb does? And depending on your location, it tells you what's near you.
For now, the app offers three categories: parishes, movements and retreats. But they are already working on expanding the app's content.

God willing, we will launch volunteer programs in October. There are a lot of people who say: I've come to a new city or I've been in a city for a long time and I'd love to volunteer or do a weekend apostolate and I don't know where to go.
Depending on your location, you will be able to see which volunteering opportunities are close to your home with an explanation of what the work is, when, how, etc.
Some 16,000 people have already downloaded the app in Spain since its release just three months ago.

More than 300 young people have already joined communities throughout Spain with the app. As of today, it is only available in Spain, but the idea is to continue to expand. In September or October, we will launch it in Portugal,then in Italy. We are already planning to launch it in Mexico and Argentina as well.
Our mission is to be a mouthpiece for the Church, to unify everything the Church has to be a loudspeaker. We don't want to create anything new, but to give voice to what already exists, what is good, what is necessary and what the young people need.
Quique is part of the AUTE team, where more than 50 people work together to promote projects that help Catholics in their spiritual needs. And this app is the fruit of their initiatives.
