The Pope expressed his concern for the situation the Middle East, where instability is creating an exodus of Christians from the Holy Land and the places where the first Christian communities in history were founded.

And we, brothers and sisters, cannot remain indifferent.
I ask you, I ask you with my heart in my hand, to continue to support the Eastern Catholic Churches, helping them, in these dramatic times, to be strongly rooted in the Gospel.
The Pope delivered these words to the members of an association known as Roaco, which stands for: Reunion of Works for the Aid of the Oriental Churches.
During the morning, the Pope had a total of five meetings. Among them was a meeting with the Grand Master of the Order of Malta and the participants of the General Chapter of the Congregation of the Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
