The Vatican has released a fully packed agenda for Pope Francis at the G7 Summit.

He will arrive in the Italian region of Puglia for the summit at 12:30 p.m. and will remain there for seven hours. There, he will speak about artificial intelligence in one of the general sessions. He will also hold up to 10 bilateral meetings—among them being a meeting with U.S. President Joe Biden.

The two are meeting at a time when there are a few issues on the table that they hold differing positions on—such as the conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East. Unlike President Biden, Pope Francis has been highly critical of weapon production. At the beginning of the war in Ukraine, he criticized NATO's decision to increase military spending.

POPE FRANCIS
The real answer is not more weapons, more sanctions. I was ashamed when I read that a group of states have pledged to spend two percent, I think, of their GDPs on buying weapons as a response to what is happening now. Madness.

In addition to meeting with President Biden, Pope Francis is scheduled to meet with the President of France, the President of Canada and other leaders such as the President of Kenya, the Prime Minister of India and the head of the International Monetary Fund.
