Pope Francis lands in Verona and is welcomed by Mons. Domenico Pompili, Bishop of Verona, and Luca Zaia, President of the Veneto Region.
After the welcome, he moves to Saint Zeno, the site of the ancient abbey that houses the remains of the city of Verona's patron saint, who this year celebrates the 1650th anniversary of the saint's death.
The first appointment for the pontiff takes place inside the Basilica of San Zeno, with a moment of dialogue and prayer, near the remains of the Patron Saint, reserved for priests, deacons, and consecrated persons.
At the end of his speech, he exits the basilica where around 7,000 children and young people await him for a conversation.
