In front of the Holy Door of St. Peter's Basilica, Pope Francis officially announced the Jubilee Year of 2025 with a papal bull.
The Pope gave a copy of the document, entitled Spes non confunit, to each of the archpriests of the four major papal basilicas—St. Peter, St. Paul Outside the Walls, St. John Lateran and St. Mary Major.
