Pope Francis began the week by meeting with the participants of the general chapter of the Brothers of Christian Instruction, a congregation dedicated to the formation of Catholic teachers.
He told them that wherever they go, they should not forget to act as fathers.
POPE FRANCIS
Dear brothers, you work in regions of the world where poverty, youth unemployment and social crises of every kind are ravaging. I urge you to be fathers to those to whom you are sent, fathers who reflect the loving and compassionate face of God.
Founded in 1819, the Brothers of Christian Instruction have been doing missionary work for over 200 years.
