On Thursday, May 9 at 5 p.m. in the Basilica of St. Ambrose, the Archbishop of Milan, Monsignor Mario Delphini, will hold the first public session of the testimonial phase for the cause of beatification and canonization of the Servant of God Fr. Luigi Giussani.
How important for our charism is this step.
The first phase of the process, which involves collecting and studying all his documents to see if Fr. Giussani should be proposed as a model of Christian life, is now coming to an end.
In this second phase, a commission will listen to the testimonies of dozens of people who knew the candidate for beatification.
The priest founded Communion and Liberation in the 1950s in Milan. It is a movement with a universal vocation focused on ongoing faith formation because, as its website points out, "the search for truth, beauty, justice and happiness never ends. The movement is present in about 90 countries.
