On Holy Thursday morning the pope celebrates the Chrism Mass, blessing three oils: the oil of catechumens, the oil of the infirm, and holy chrism. These oils will be used to administer the sacraments throughout the diocese of Rome for the year. ;
All the priests of the diocese gather to celebrate the unity of the priests with their bishop, who in Rome happens to be Pope Francis.
