There were many proposals that came out of the last Synod on Synodality. Pope Francis wants to examine 10 of them. They are:
- The relationship between Eastern and Latin Churches
- The poor
- Evangelizing in the digital world
- Ministries in the Church from a canonical and theological point of view
- The relationship between bishops, religious congregations and other ecclesial realities
- The figure of the bishop: how to select them, their nature and their judicial function
- The role of the Vatican nuncios from a synodal and missionary point of view
- The methodology and theological criteria to confront doctrinal, ethical and pastoral politics
- Ecumenism
- The training of priests from a synodal and missionary point of view
Several study groups will be organized to delve into these issues. During the upcoming October assembly, they will present the work done so far. And before June of 2025, they will have to conclude their work. The undersecretary of the Synod explains who will be in charge of coordinating this work.

Undersecretary of the Synod
The International Theological Commission, which works in the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Doctrine of the Faith, will coordinate working groups on important topics that came up at the Synod but require more time to study and deepen.
In addition, the synod will organize a special event for pastors from all over the world between April 28 and May 2. The goal is to help them create more synodal and missionary communities.
