Pope Francis traveled to the Gemelli hospital on Rome's Tiberina Island for diagnostic tests immediately after his Wednesday General Audience.
This visit came after the Pope did not read his catechesis reflection during the Audience.

The Pope exited the hospital around noon and returned to the Vatican.
This General Audience was the first public event Pope Francis had since the Angelus prayer on Sunday. He had canceled all his activities on Saturday and Monday due to a “slight flu-like condition.”
