These are some images of Pope Francis' meeting with seminarians from Madrid. He did not read the speech he had prepared, but as he usually does with each group of seminarians who come to visit him, he spent almost two hours answering any questions and concerns.
ANTONIO VÁZQUEZ
Seminarian
I had the good fortune to be able to ask him how to approach the young people of today because they are often bombarded with information and how to bring the message of Jesus without being just another input in all the information. I believe this included the concerns of the seminarians because he connected a lot to prayer and testimony, that our life should be coherent with what we live.
The large group was accompanied by the rector of the center and by the Archbishop of Madrid. Cardinal Cobo highlighted the Pope's closeness to the seminarians and said he even told anecdotes about his own vocation.
CARD. JOSÉ COBO CANO
Archbishop of Madrid
He has also given us keys for the life of the seminary, keys for the personal life of each one of the seminarians. He opened our hearts because he told us things about his life, about how he began his vocation. So, it was a very touching moment.
It was a powerful moment for all those meeting with the Pope. The rector of the seminary could not hold back his tears as he thanked everyone for the meeting.
We give many thanks to the Lord.
Afterwards, Cardinal Cobo celebrated Mass with the entire seminary in the Choir Chapel of St. Peter's Basilica.
