After praying the Angelus, Pope Francis again launched an appeal for the international community to become more involved in the pursuit of world peace.

Minutes earlier, commenting on the day's Gospel, the Pope asked Christians to reflect on whether their faith has grown cold.

When did I meet the Lord? When did the Lord touch my heart? Let us ask ourselves: are we still disciples in love with the Lord, are we seeking the Lord, or have we settled into a faith made up of habits?
There were about 10,000 people gathered in St. Peter's Square. Among them were pilgrims from different parts of Italy, Spain, Poland, Uruguay and also from the Pope's home country. They even brought a banner for the Pope that read: “We are waiting for you in Argentina.”
