This Christmas concert was held for a very special group of people—the poor. The director of the choir of the Diocese of Rome explained that among the 7,000 people who attended this event, which celebrated its fourth edition, about 3,000 were people in need. He says that this concert held at the Vatican is meant specifically for them.

The sick, prisoners, and homeless are not typically able to attend a concert. They never participate in a concert. The poor are entitled to have what everyone else has. In fact, according to the Gospel, they are the most favored.
The tickets were free of charge and completely sold out. Audience members also included a number of prisoners.

It is like heaven for them. And it is an act of beautiful love that we can set aside for them—this time of wonder and joy. The enthusiasm with which they applaud at the end of the songs always shows their delight in participating at such an event.
Special guests are often asked to participate in these events. In previous years, artists such as Italian composer, Ennio Morricone, were present at the concert.

Art, beauty is one of the most beautiful gifts we can give to humans, all the more so to the poor.
Among the songs featured were “Silent Night” and “Joy to the world.” But the director confessed that his favorite is a traditional Italian piece: “Tu Scendi dalle Stelle” or “You come down from the stars.”
