The Vatican has released Pope Francis' schedule for his quick trip to Dubai for the COP28 Climate Change Conference.
He will travel to the United Arab Emirates from December 1st to 3rd. Upon his arrival, he will be greeted with a welcome ceremony.
On Saturday the 2nd, the Pope will deliver an address among some of the worlds most powerful leaders. The subject of his speech has yet to be announced, but the Pope is expected to make an appeal for environmental protection, which has been a staple of his pontificate.
Directly following his speech, the Pope will have a few private meetings. And on Sunday, December 3rd, the Pope will inaugurate the “Faith Pavilion,” which is the portion of the conference where world religious leaders meet to promote climate and policy action.
After the “Faith Pavilion,” Pope Francis will fly back to Rome's Fiumicino Airport.
