Some Catholic LGBT ministry groups have spoken out about their “disappointment” with the content of the final Synod report.
New Ways Ministry of the United States said that the issues representing their ministry were absent and it failed to include quote “any positive statement on LGBTQ+ issues.”
Just a couple of weeks before the release of the Synod report, the co-founder of New Ways Ministry met with Pope Francis and said it was an encouraging meeting for her work. Many of these ministry groups were hoping for clear proposals for their communities in the final report.
The Church's outreach to LGBT Catholics is an issue that has garnered diverse opinions. And some Synod members have spoken about it.

I can assure you that everybody is included. The fact is to include everybody. Include everybody. The Church doesn't have issues only to do with LGBTQ. There are so many other groups.
While the Synod report did not directly mention LGBT, it did outline proposals of further study to create a more “welcoming Church” and protecting those who feel excluded.
