During the month of October, St. Peter's Basilica will offer daily prayer initiatives for pilgrims to accompany the ongoing Synod on Synodality.
People will be able to join in the Masses in the Basilica and times of Adoration that will be held in the Adoration Chapel at 7 p.m. at the end of the synodal sessions.
The goal is to offer both pilgrims and Synod participants the opportunity to come together in prayer after the assembly meetings. During this time, St. Peter's Basilica will close at 8 p.m. rather than 7 p.m.
On Saturday evenings throughout the month, candelight Rosary processions will be held at 9p.m. in St. Peter's Square.
The first prayer event will be on October 7 celebrating the Memorial of the Blessed Virgin of the Rosary. Cardinal Mario Grech, Secretary General of the Synod, will preside.
Over 360 people from around the world have gathered in Rome to participate in the Synod on Synodality which will take place from October 4-29.
