Pope Francis will participate in the inauguration of the House of Mercy on the last day of his trip to Mongolia. The house is dedicated to serving victims of a violence that is on the rise in the country.

The house of mercy, the original idea of the cardinal, is a shelter for the victim of the domestic violence, women and children.
Fr. Pran says that the high consumption of alcohol in the country encourages cases of domestic violence. Together with Cardinal Giorgio Marengo, he hopes that the house will help provide victims with a shelter to turn to.
For 19 years, Fr. Pran has been serving as a missionary in Mongolia. He says that the Pope's visit to this community will help raise awareness of the ongoing evangelizing mission in the country.

That's why it's very, very good for us to let the world know there is a small Catholic, a small group of missionaries that are working very hard every day, trying to build the kingdom of God in this country.
He thinks that it is important for the universal Church to know the work they are doing in a country where the Catholic population is so small. At the moment, there are only 9 parishes. Much of the mission's work is focused on building educational centers.
Not all the children attending these schools are Catholic. But Fr. Pran argues that it is necessary for the Church in Mongolia to be able to dialogue with other religions.

Here, we try to help you understand the value, teach you the value, respect, honor, thankfulness, respect for human rights, respect for the rights of other people, respect the value that people give to you. So that is our mission that we give to you. I think that is not far away from the Gospel.
Pope Francis will bless this new project during the inauguration of the House of Mercy on September 4. He will then travel to the airport to return to Rome.
