In a rural Mongolian town, 300 miles from the capital, a group of missionaries offer spiritual care to 55 people. They were filled with excitement at the news of the Pope's visit.

Once the news came of the Pope coming to Mongolia, many people were surprised. What should be so attractive to the Pope in a such a small church, while there are many big churches that would like to see the Pope coming? Why are the eyes of the Pope turning to this little church?

Father Dido Mukadi has been a missionary in Mongolia for 7 years. He assures that the mission is not easy. He says that while evangelizing, they must first understand the beliefs rooted in Mongolian culture so that the Gospel message reaches the people effectively.

For example, he says in this society, great value is placed on women, especially mothers, which makes it easy for them to talk about Mary.

From what we have in common, that is our point of start, so that the Mongolians can believe. And that has a lot of value so they understand who Mary is. And then later on, by approaching us, by being with us, they kept on learning many other things of the church. And what I like in them. Even though they are few, but those few ones they commit themselves, they give all they have.

Father Mukadi assures that everyone is waiting for Pope Francis with great enthusiasm. Especially a woman from his parish.

She always says,“The day I will hold the hand of the Pope, I will fly.” Just to understand the excitement in the heart of the people.

Father Mukadi has high hopes that the Pope's visit will strengthen the faith of the missionaries and encourage them not to lose heart in their task of evangelization.
