This group of volunteers is biking across Europe to raise money and awareness for cancer research. Although they have 1,500 miles ahead, their very first stop was a meeting with Pope Francis.

I presented him a shirt the same as this with his name inscribed on the back and he really liked it, he actually said thank you so much.
Each volunteer for Inspired Living Against Cancer has been impacted by cancer in some way. Many are biking in honor of their loved ones.

Cancer gets to everybody, either directly or indirectly. I've named a few people on my shirt of family and friends that we've lost to cancer.

I've actually had a brush of cancer.
We're all touched by cancer. We all have friends or family who have died from cancer.
The group is set out to raise over $600,000 for cancer research. One of the founders of the ride, who is cycling alongside his son and daughter, says they are all regular people trying to help an important cause.

This is all about ordinary people achieving extraordinary things. We're no different from everybody else. And everybody looks at you to say 'Oh I could never do that.' Try it.
Now accompanied with a Papal Blessing, the volunteers will spend 17 days biking from Rome to London.
